Professional Expertise
When it comes to real estate, I am a business man first and foremost. After earning an AB degree in economics from Haverford College, I received a MBA degree in finance from New York's Columbia Graduate School of Business. I started my career doing acquisition analysis work for ITT during the go-go days of the 1960's when conglomerates were all the rage. I became the first United States-based employee of Sega Enterprises (Vice President of Finance) and created its foothold here in the U.S. I subsequently founded and was CEO of three companies in the retail, software and Internet industries.
The common threads in my career are financial analysis, an ability to interact effectively with many different personalities, and a love of both the sales and negotiation process.
The San Francisco residential real estate business involves a constant mix of different properties, different personalities, a need to juggle a lot of balls in the air, and a persistence and tenacity to get deals done. I am a master at this process!
To stay abreast of San Francisco politics and its impact on property values, I am a member of the Governmental Relations Committee of the San Francisco Association of Realtors.
